Launch of Mukhyamantri Nishulk Annapurna Food Packet Yojana, State Government is providing relief by bringing the public welfare schemes on the ground – Chief Minister

JAIPUR (HAMARA WATAN) Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the state government is taking its decisions with an intention to provide maximum relief to the common man. The Mukhyamantri Nishulk Annapurna Food Packet Yojana was launched on the occasion of Independence Day. He said that more than 1.04 crore families in the state will be distributed free Annapurna Food packets every month under this scheme.

Gehlot was addressing the launch ceremony of this scheme at Birla Auditorium in Jaipur on Tuesday. He launched the scheme by distributing the food packets to the beneficiaries. He said that the state government is taking decisions with a focus on the poor, which are being discussed across the country. The state government by bringing all the public welfare schemes on the ground has provided relief to the general public. These public welfare schemes are not freebies, but it is the responsibility of the democratic government towards the general public.

Free Annapurna Food Packet contains these items – Towards realising the resolution of ‘No One Sleeps Hungry’, this Annapurna Food Packet containing one kilogram each of chana dal, sugar and iodised salt, one litre soybean refined edible oil, 100 gm each of chilli powder and coriander powder and 50gms from turmeric, which will be given free through PoS machine.

Families who got economic assistance during covid will also get free ration kit – The Chief Minister said that many needy families are deprived as the Government of India has fixed the maximum limit in the National Food Security Scheme. During covid, after a survey of destitute families, around 32 lakh NFSA and non-NFSA families were provided economic assistance of Rs 5500.

He said that those non-NFSA families who were given economic assistance during covid will also be provided free ration kit in the Annapurna ration kit scheme. He urged the Central Government instead of extending the ration distribution by six months again and again, it should be implemented in a regular manner. He said that the commission of ration dealers distributing Annapurna food packets has been increased to Rs 10 from Rs 4 per packet.

Along with this, the Chief Minister announced to give commission based on telescopic rates to the ration dealers in the state and not to deduct fee from the ration dealers for PoS machine. The Chief Minister on this occasion released a poster of the scheme. He also visited temporary fair price shops made near the venue. A short video film on the scheme was also shown in the programme.

Relief from inflation, life becomes easy – Gehlot said that the state government, taking a unique initiative, gave the benefit of 10 public welfare schemes by organising mehangai rahat camps. State’s 1.82 crore families have registered themselves in these camps. He said that life of people has become easy with the schemes such as gas cylinder for Rs 500, health insurance of Rs 25 lakh, accident insurance of Rs 10 lakh, additional employment of 25 days in MGNREGS, 125 days employment in Indira Gandhi Shehari Rojgar Guarantee Yojana and 2000 units free electricity to farmers. He said that with the Mukhyamantri Nishulk Bijli Yojana, the electricity bills of 1.04 crore houses have become zero. Now the state government has also waived the fuel surcharge and will bear the cost of Rs 2500 crore. The state government is providing food to the needy people for Rs 8 through the Indira Rasoi scheme.

The Chief Minister said that new districts have been made in the state, which will speed up the administrative and financial work. Law has been made in the state guaranteeing minimum income and the Right to Health, which is not there in any other state in the country. Law has been made for the welfare and security of Gig workers. He said restoring the Old Pension Scheme for the government employees is being discussed in the entire country.

Social security pension of minimum of Rs 1000 per month is being given to 1 crore people in the state. Besides this, a provision has been made of an auto increase of 15% every year. In the first phase 40 lakh girls and women are being given smartphones under the Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana. The registration of the remaining 1 crore women will start from August 20. He said that it has been made possible with better financial management. He said development is possible only in the atmosphere of peace and brotherhood. The department of peace and non-violence has been set up in the state so that there is maximum publicity of Gandhian philosophy among the general public.

Vision Document of Mission 2030 will be made – Gehlot said that the state government is moving with a vision to include Rajasthan in the list of leading states by 2030. Participation of all the people of the state is important in this. He said that the formal launch of Mission 2030 will take place soon and a vision document will be prepared. The Chief Minister said it is our target that the state moves ahead in all the sectors.

Food and Civil Supplies Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said that Rajasthan is the only state in the country where the government schemes have been implemented keeping public interest in mind. The intention of the state government is to provide relief from inflation. Cooperative Minister Udai Lal Anjana said that the state government has given guarantee of benefits of 10 public welfare schemes through guarantee cards by organising mehangai rahat camps across the state. Annapura food packet scheme is a big step in this direction.

Former minister of state for education Govind Singh Dotasara said that this scheme will reduce the inflation. The state government is setting an example of good governance. Chief Secretary Usha Sharma said that it is an important scheme of the state government and especially women will be benefitted and it will be easy for them to run their home. She requested the beneficiaries who have not yet registered themselves in the camps to get registered at the earliest.

PHED Minister Dr. Mahesh Joshi, MLAs Rafik Khan, Amin Kagzi, Cooperative Department Principal Secretary Sreya Guha and other public representatives, officers, ration dealers and beneficiaries were present on this occasion.
